Raison de being here

I don't have time to explore this now - I only created this blog in a fit of insomnia at the close of my tenure as a graduate student. Nevertheless, I'll pose this quick question. To be a fully-realized hip netizen in the Web 2.0 era, does one need to have a proper blog, or will a micro-blog suffice? Should my long-form ruminations be housed on this "blog blog" or my micro-blog? Who gauges propriety of venue? Am I on my own on this one?

Eh, who am I kidding. Look forward to future content in 2k10.

Because the Internet is suffering from a dearth of content, especially from anonymous assholes with no journalist credentials, I have decided to throw my hat into the ring and contribute content at a staggeringly more aggressive pace than I have previously. It is so cold...

...in this basement office that I am actually noticing it. Normally, I am not one to feel (certainly, never to comment upon) shortcomings in ambient temperature. Though I'm no stoic, my unexercised, under-slept body is almost always able to keep me at a tenable operating temperature. Now, however, I apparently can't even rely on it to do that. I might have to wear my overcoat...inside. Ugh. That said, it's a rather nice(-looking), sunny (albeit very cold) day here in The District.
